Wrong Ballot? What can you do now?
If you voted during early voting and believe you may have received the wrong ballot, you can take these steps:
1. Make sure you received the correct ballot here. Simply follow the directions to find your sample ballot online.
2. If the ballot you see on the (linked) North Carolina Board of Elections website seems to be different from the one you were given at your early voting site, return to your early voting site before 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2. (The site is open between 8:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. weekdays and 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Saturday.)
3. Explain the situation to the first-available poll worker. (You may want to have your online sample ballot quickly available should the poll worker believe you are incorrect.) If you are denied a provisional ballot, ask for the Chief Judge. If you still are denied a provisional ballot, go outside immediately and a) tell your Republican greeter and/or b) call (919) 210-7629.
