Franklin County Sheriff Kevin White and our Sheriff's Department have put Franklin County first in flight - to assist fellow North Carolinians. Franklin County's Representative Matthew Winslow has headed West as well. In fact, several of our first responders also are there, rotating shifts to help our neighbors dig out, stay alive, and recover from Hurricane Helene. We are so proud of this effort!

This from Sheriff White on Facebook:

"When North Carolina needs help, Franklin County steps up. I am beyond proud of our people.
"We aren’t letting up. There are long days ahead, but we will not stop until western North Carolina comes back stronger than ever.
"Thank you to Mark Robinson for leading these efforts. You were there long before the TV cameras got there, and I know you will be there long after they are gone.
"Y’all, please continue to supply donated resources to our facility in Louisburg. We have round-the-clock convoys working to get these supplies where they are most needed.
"Love y’all.
"North Carolina Strong!
 "-KW"
From all of us, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! We are praying for the safety of all, the ability to get to those stranded, and the tools to serve.
