Teresa (Terri) Goodbar Appointed to Board of Elections

Teresa (Terri) Goodbar was sworn in as a new (Republican) board member of the Franklin County Board of Elections on July 21, 2026. Goodbar replaces Harry Barrick who faithfully served as a representative on the board for several years.

Goodbar moved to Franklin County from Durham County where she was involved as a poll worker, including Chief Judge. She is familiar with State Board of Elections policies and procedures. Goodbar, a retired Human Resources officer, has two children and four grandchildren.
